Lucie Hankin is an investor at Grok Ventures, the private investment office of Mike and Annie Cannon Brookes tasked with investing to make tomorrow today. Lucie works on Grok’s private investment portfolio – investing in and supporting fast growing technology enabled businesses and VC funds, along with cash yielding investments into lower risk- return opportunities like solar funds and debt instruments. Lucie spends most of her time backing technologies and teams that are solving some of the biggest climate challenges; including in energy, food, transport and carbon. Recent investments include cell based meat company, Vow, and mushroom based meat company, Fable.
Lucie started out in investment banking, followed by a couple years in London working with early and growth stage founding teams. She returned to Australia to join NAB Ventures, a corporate venture capital fund, prior to joining Grok in 2018, where she’s now able to align her passions for investing, climate tech, and working with hyper ambitious founders and teams.
