Ancient Rituals is a family-owned business that have researched and developed the finest certified Organic and highly beneficial gut friendly range of sprouted grains and flours.
Many of us eaten and enjoyed freshly sprouted seeds on our salads but you might be surprised to know that Sprouting is a time-honoured practice, dating back to ancient civilizations, that transforms dormant seeds into vibrant, living plants. This simple yet powerful process not only brings life to seemingly lifeless seeds but also enhances their nutritional content that are more digestible and gut friendly.
And it is from this heritage that Ancient Rituals have embraced the opportunity to revitalise old traditions and methods in the production of their sprouted grains and sprouted milled flours, ‘a healthier alternative to others on the market today’. This is an ancient technique of sprouting that triggers a transformation in dormant seeds and grains, making them nutrient richer.
Flours that rise to the occasion
It’s also good to know all their flour varieties are cold-milled in order to preserve the integrity and nutritional values of each grain. Why do sprouted grains and flours deliver so much more nutritional value? The process of sprouting the seeds/grains is a natural yet more intensive method that releases increased nutrient with gut health and probiotic benefits. This is especially Good News for those suffering from IBS and other gut associated concerns. What sets Ancient Rituals apart from other brands on the market?

The Beginnings of Ancient Rituals
Ancient Rituals was born from a deeply personal journey toward health and well-being. When company founder Richa was faced with persistent gut and other health challenges, in desperation she turned to a naturopath for guidance. The turning point came with their simple yet profound recommendation: to incorporate sprouted foods into her diet. The results were nothing short of transformative. Experiencing firsthand the incredible benefits of sprouted flours and grains and cereals in nourishing the body and supporting overall wellness.
Eager to embrace this new path to vitality. Richa sought high quality sprouted products in Australia. To her surprise genuine organic sprouted foods were hard to find. This lack of accessible options was disheartening but also inspiring.
Fuelled by a desire to share the life changing benefits of sprouted foods with others. Ancient Rituals was created.
Ancient Rituals is more than a brand – we are a movement dedicated to reviving the timeless wisdom of sprouted grains and ancient foods, making them an essential part of modern healthy living.

Their Values
Tradition: Ancient societies, particularly in Asia and the Middle East, recognised the value of sprouting grains as means to enhance the nutritional profile of their diets.
In the contemporary world, sprouted grains continue to be valued for their nutritional benefits. The revival of this age-old technique offers a promising avenue for enhancing the nutritional quality of our diets.
Digestion: Sprouting activates enzymes that break down complex carbohydrates and proteins into simpler forms.
The fibre and prebiotics found in sprouted grains can support a healthy gut microbiome. Some sprouted grain flours, such as quinoa or brown rice, are naturally gluten-free. This makes such flours suitable options for those with gluten sensitivities or celiac disease who need to avoid gluten-containing grains like wheat, barley, rye etc.
Nutrition: Sprouting increases the bioavailability of nutrients such as vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients.
Sprouted grains contain increased levels of antioxidants, which help protect cells from damage caused by free radicals. Antioxidants play a role in reducing inflammation, supporting the immune system and reducing the risk of chronic diseases.
Health Management: Sprouted grain flours have lower glycaemic index compared to their unsprouted versions.
With high dietary fibre, sprouted grain flours helps with weight management and heart health by promoting satiety, regulate bowel movements and lower the cholesterol levels.
Taste & Texture: What makes sprouted grains and flours truly exceptional is their adaptability across meals. Sprouted flours, derived from sprouted grains, are becoming culinary game changers. Wheat, brow rice, quinoa and many more can all undergo this sprouting metamorphosis.
The absence of preservatives and the reduction of anti-nutrients leads to a cleaner, more digestible food source. It’s a win-win for your taste buds and well-being!
